The Art of Gifting: Doodles Is Making the Collectible Personal

Your camera roll might already hold the answer to your next gift dilemma: a favorite photo of your parents, your best friend, or the dog who appears in almost every picture you take. Doodles Toy Factory, created in partnership with Womp3d, turns those images into custom collectibles, bringing people, pets, and anything you can imagine into artist-founder Burnt Toast's distinctive visual world.
The appeal starts with the interpretation. Doodles' rounded forms, playful proportions, and simple, expressive faces give each figure a character of its own.

That artistic point of view is a compelling distinction in a growing industry. Global 3D printing revenues reached $24.2 billion in 2025, up 10.9% from the previous year, according to the Wohlers Report 2026. Within that market, Doodles' style brings consistency and taste. A figure of you and your partner can sit beside one of your pet, making for a delightfully personalized and meaningful display.
There is a substantial market for objects that invite this kind of attachment. The global toy market reached $123 billion in 2025, growing 8%, according to Circana's Global Toy Report. Teens and adults are an important part of that audience: consumers aged 15 and older accounted for 18% of global toy sales.
Doodles specifically sought out Womp3d in early 2026 to help bring this vision to life. Since Toy Factory's August launch, hundreds of custom toys have been produced and delivered to customers around the world. Making that simple premise work took several months of collaboration between the Doodles and Womp3d engineering teams. Behind each figure is a connected process that translates an image or idea into a printable 3D model, then takes it through production and delivery.
The goal was to accommodate ideas as varied as the people submitting them: a person, a pet, a child's scribbled drawing, even a house. Producing each design on demand opens up a range of possibilities that would be difficult to offer economically through conventional molded production.
The attention to design carries through to the finished object. The figurines are printed in full-color resin, finished by hand, and hand-packed in a designer box with a certificate of authenticity. Together, those choices make the experience feel considered, from the character's proportions to the moment the box is opened.
Doodles understands that the art of gift-giving lies in choosing something that shows how well you know someone. A figure of a much-loved pet or a miniature of a shared memory makes that thoughtfulness tangible.
"I was a big believer in the premise of Toy Factory ahead of launch, but my connection to the product became more emotional after the team surprised me with the first figurine ever produced by Doodles Toy Factory: one of me, my new wife, and our baby, based on a photo taken of us on a family vacation. That's when it really registered that we're not just making toys; we're making objects that people will cherish forever."
Burnt Toast, CEO and Artist-Founder
With the holidays approaching, this personal approach gives Toy Factory a natural appeal beyond Doodles' existing community.
"The majority of Toy Factory customers aren't Doodles superfans at all. They're discovering us because they love the style and want something personal: a collectible for themselves or a gift they're excited to give."
Matt Nofi, Director of Growth and Ecosystem
Beyond individual custom toys, Doodles has already seen demand for gifting around special occasions, from weddings to corporate events.
"We're in discussions with brands and organizations that want to give people something made especially for them. It's early, but our ambition is to make custom Doodles as recognizable and sought-after as Labubu, to build that same excitement around collecting, with a personal connection built into every figure."
Matt Nofi, Director of Growth and Ecosystem
The next Labubu might just be you. Or your dog. Or the friend who is impossible to shop for. With Toy Factory, Doodles supplies the style, and your life supplies the characters.
