Attribution and licenses

Licensing your 3D creations gives you the power to decide how they're used by others.

Womp has several licensing options which allows creators to freely distribute their creations or choose various levels of restrictions on it. Here are the licenses we have currently:

CC0 - No rights reserved: This license is also known as the Creative Commons Zero license. It essentially allows creators to release their work into the public domain, meaning that anyone can use, modify, and distribute the work without attribution or permission. This license is suitable for creators who want their work to be freely accessible and used by others without any restrictions.

CC BY: This license allows creators to make copies and distribute your work, but they must give credit to you as the original creator. This type of license is a good choice for creators who want to ensure that they receive proper recognition for their work while still allowing others to use and distribute it.

CC BY-ND: This license allows creators to download image renders of your work, but they cannot make copies of it on Womp. Additionally, if the downloaded images are used elsewhere, you will receive credit as the original creator. This type of license is useful for creators who want to protect their work from being copied but still want to make it available for viewing and use.

All rights reserved: This license means that you retain full control over your work, and no one can distribute or download images of it without your permission. This type of license is suitable for creators who want to ensure that their work is fully protected and cannot be used or distributed without their consent.

It's important for creators to carefully consider which license they want to use, as it will impact how their work is used and who can use it. Additionally, creators should also be aware of any legal implications that may come with licensing their work.

Maintenance banner

Maintenance banner keeps users informed about the status of Womp.

When Womp experiences downtime, the banner will display a message informing users that something is wrong. You can be assured that the team is already working on fixing it.

If Womp is undergoing scheduled maintenance or upgrades, the banner will display a message letting users know that new features are being added and that the downtime is intentional. We usually perform big updates rarely and in an off timezone to minimize the impact on users. This ensures that users are aware of the situation and can plan accordingly, while also minimizing any inconvenience caused by the downtime.

Womp prompts dialogue boxes at 30min and 2min intervals before a scheduled update reminding users to close your object to avoid losing any progress, we are aiming to minimize the impact of unexpected downtime and ensure that users are kept in the loop.

Additionally, users can check out our status page below and stay informed about the status of the platform. We believe in transparency and want to ensure that our users are always aware of any issues or updates that may impact their experience on Womp.
